How Much Government Do We Need?

People have misconceptions not because they’re ignorant or they love big government, but because they’ve heard no alternative system proposed. Many areas of our lives have lots of government intervention and many areas have none. Are the areas where government involvement exists better off for it? A top rocket scientist has just joined the ranks of the scientists who doubt the connection between CO2 and global warming. It doesn’t surprise me really, because I have done a lot of reading on the subject, but to the vast majority of Americans out there they may find this as a bit of a shock. We need to get the word out about how the environmentalism movement has been hijacked and how the most powerful politicians and businessmen out there stand to profit big off of the whole global warming lie. The below article is so powerful that I’ll …

The photo above refers to the Japanese government’s plan to slash obesity over the next ten years. The poster shows “metabo” or someone who is unhealthy and overweight. The full article details the Japanese government’s decision to measure the waistlines of all its citizens.
Interested, I read on, and learned that the “limit” for males will be 33.5 inches while the index for women will be 35.4 inches. According the article, half of Japan’s already slim population of males will be considered overweight, or “metabo” by these standards. The article does not put enough emphasis on how this type of …
