The mainstream media is making me sick today. Given the amount of contempt that I usually have for them, this should not come as a surprise, yet today is unique. I have been watching the coverage of CNN on and off all day and one thing has quickly become apparent: This is not about honoring the fallen, it’s about mantaining a national myth and creating rituals to go along with it.
