Apparently what President Obama meant when he said “change” was, well… nothing. Just another politician politickin’, thanks to NORML for this news:

South Lake Tahoe, CA: Federal drug enforcement officials, working cooperatively with state and local police, seized marijuana and cash from a medical marijuana dispensary in Lake Tahoe, California last week. The raid was the first action of its type taken by the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) since President Barack Obama took office on January 20.

While campaigning for the presidency, Obama pledged not to “use Justice Department resources to try and circumvent state (medical marijuana) laws.”

No arrests were made in last week’s raid, and a new facility has already opened to serve patients in the Lake Tahoe region.

The bust received national media attention, with many news outlets expressing criticism over the raid.

In response to the DEA’s actions, several prominent drug law reform groups have asked voters to contact the White House and urge the President to suspend Justice Department activities that target medical marijuana providers who are compliant with their state laws.

In a separate action last week, the DEA also raided two medical marijuana providers in Colorado, but did not make any arrests.

If it wasn’t bad enough that Obama has proved himself a liar in just a matter of days since taking office, he has also dismissed a large portion of his supporters. According to DailyKos.com the number one question on Barack Obama’s Change.gov transition website was:

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama

“Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.?”

It didn’t take long for Obama to start breaking campaign promises, disfranchising supporters, and disregarding the constitution. So apparently when President Obama says “change” what he really means is “same.” I’m imagining a day where Obama is siting in front of a special prosecutor trying to explain that it depends what the definition of the word “change” is. My “Hope for America” is that we wake up from this spell and start to see the truth behind President Obama’s lies.

    Legalize it.

Simple as that. You get to put in your body what you want and I get to put in my body what I want. As long as we don't hurt each other there's really no problem.

Alcohol and cigarettes kill 100s of times more people each year, so there goes that argument as well.

  • Marijuana Addiction said:

Marijuana addiction is a phenomenon experienced by more than 150,000 individuals each year who enter treatment for their proclaimed addiction to marijuana. Marijuana addiction is characterized as compulsive, often uncontrollable marijuana craving, seeking, and use, even when the individual knows that marijuana use is not in his best interest. Marijuana addiction could be defined as chronically making the firm decision not to use marijuana followed shortly by a relapse due to experiencing overwhelming compulsive urges to use marijuana despite the firm decision not to. This contradiction is characteristic of an addiction problem.

I used to grow pot until the cops came in one day and took me to jail. I was given a three year sentence for having a bedroom full of growing MJ plants. I served only 4 months thanks to the crowded jails which were full of people convicted of MJ crimes.

This was my first, my last, and my only offense. I have since gotten my record expunged thank god for judges that smoke themselves.

The guards in jail will beat you, will rape you, and put you in isolation for weeks for absolutely no reason. I have personal testimony i can give on this issue.

I wanted everyone to know that i have never ever used cocaine in my whole life ever not once. I will never use cocaine. So to those that say its a gateway drug i am an example of exactly the opposite. I do not consider pot to be dangerous and i have gone years and years without smoking it without any withdrawal or addiction issues.

I recently started smoking again after about 4 years since the last time i smoked it. I can decide at any moment to not smoke and i have no issues about it. Its a personal choice i am making and the government should not be involved in this process.
