Conspiracy to Riot - Sage Francis

15 November 2008 6 Comments Posted by: Andrew S.

Here is a fan video to go along with the awesome song, Conspiracy to Riot by Sage Francis. I’m going to have to look into this guy’s music a little more because he sounds really awesome:

We have free speech in this country, but as many in this video have found out, if you try to use it there will be a “conspiracy to riot” on the part of the police. Francis Sage’s homepage is at strangefamousrecords.com/

Here are some Canadian cops that got caught trying to provoke violence at the SPP protest in Montebello:

Here is the same incident without the narration:

Here is a clip where the admission of the police was reported on:

Here is a video from the RNC showing police that arrested a protester that fell off of their bike:

Here are some victims that spoke out about the police brutality at the RNC:

The violence on the part of the police was not just limited to the RNC, but occurred at the DNC as well. Here’s a short clip of a Code Pink protester being slammed to the ground by a police officer:

What are non-violent protestors supposed to do when they try to protest but are attacked by the police? Many of the people who think we still have free speech have not tried using it themselves. The people in these videos learned the hard way how restricted our right to petition for the redress of grevences has become. The good news is that outlets like YouTube have brought these abuses of the state to light. Hopefully clips like these will discourage the police from provocoteuring again in the future for fear of being exposed on the internet.

That is a good song, the video makes me want to cry.

Yeah I think the fan video is much more effective than some over-produced video would be. Actual footage from protests is really effective at getting the point across.

wow, from those lyrics you can tell Sage Francis “gets it.”

You gotta love the cops running over the lady with their bike wheels at the end, too. The violence is simply unnecessary and sad.

Oh yeah, and what's up with that man in the scary skeleton outfit dancing around?

Yeah the scary-skeleton dancer guy is so cool. He really knows how to move it! Sure makes protesting look fun!

And about the bike lady - she was just in the way of the cops. The police were just trying to bike down the street and she had to get up in their way with the peace symbols and stuff.
