I hope to spread the word in Rochester about a new band called the Flobots. If you haven’t heard of them then you definitely need to listen to their song “Handlebars” posted below. They have a great message that speaks against corruption and tyranny. If you like their sound be sure to check out the other video (two parts) that featured two members of Flobots on the Alex Jones Show. We need more musicians that have a real message to speak out against the government in times like these.

This is an incredible story out of the BBC that certainly isn’t getting enough attention here in the United States. Are you still not convinced that the invasion of Iraq was executed for profit? Oh yeah, it wasn’t just for oil (which they really wanted to shut off to INCREASE prices) but was also so private contractors could get huge no bid contracts. Check out this article from bbc.co.uk:

Below is an article that appears in today’s Democrat and Chronicle. I want people to think about this for a second. Why should Albany tell us what our speed limits should or should have been? Shouldn’t this have been a power that was always guaranteed to the local communities?

Today I purchased four books to read for this summer. I feel they are critical reads for every American and I would like to read them so that I can better educate myself about the world and warn my friends and family about the troubling times ahead. Two of the books are fiction and two are non-fiction, but I feel that they are all equally important for understanding the course of our country right now.
